China has been fascinating the Europeans for ages. Recently, this fascination has turned into important economic partnerships. Germany, the USA and Japan try to get the widest possible participation in the Chinese market. China has become the factory of the world as it produces everything for everyone. China is an Empire which will soon become the biggest economic global power.
Chinas expansion on worlds markets rises many concerns. Serious discussions, better getting to know each other, as well as the improvement of mutually beneficial economic relationship are needed in order to dispel fears and cooperate effectively with China.
In China communism is still recognized as a state ideology. This so-called Chinese realism requires the building of a free market economy and the liberalization of economic relations. Chinas economy growth amounts to 10% each year arousing global awe and admiration. It allowed to bring around 300 millions of Chinese from misery in the course of the last 20 years as well as an incredible modernization of the country.
Todays China is a modern infrastructure, which is for us a far-reaching future. Todays China, thats high speed railways, highways, streets crowded with new cars from Europe, the USA and Japan.
At the same time there are still poor villages, problems with a polluted environment and unresolved issues for 1,3 billion people. Thus, there is still a lot to do.
Chinese achievements have been allowed through investments and Polish companies should be involved in Chinas future projects, as it will be further made by Germans, Americans and French.
The importance of the relations with China could have been easily noticed during Mr. Bronislaw Komorowskis, President of Poland, visit to the Far East. The reciprocity of the relations was proved by Mr. Wen Jinbaos visit to Central-Eastern Europe.

The special individual meeting with Mr. Muratbek IMANALIJEW, Secretary General of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation had been organized during the Institutes delegation visit to China.
High rank of all these meetings proves that Chinese politicians treat Central and Eastern Europe as very important partner. It is also the sign of their belief that the Economic Forum in Krynica may play an important role in initiating the new era of cooperation. We do hope that Krynica will constitute the bridge for Chinese politicians and business representatives to European Markets.
