Between 8-10 March, a meeting took place at the Slovenian National Museum, as a part of the UNESCO-Venice Project "Imagining the Balkans History, Memory and Dialogue in South-East Europe". The participants were Professors, Directors and Senior Curators of National History Museums of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Turkey. Also experts from the University of Strasbourg and University of Linkopins (Sweden) took part, along with a representative of the German Historical Museum. EUROCLIO Manager Jonathan Even-Zohar took part as observor. The project is aiming to produce a common exhibition on the long 19th century, with a focus on every-day life, education and the construction of nations. EUROCLIO is keen to follow the developments of these interesting project as it is closely related to the EUROCLIO Programme History that Connects, How to teach sensitive and controversial history in the countries of former Yugoslavia.
